Tsinghua University School of Architecture Launches Elective Course on Feng Shui Design
For the first time, a university has incorporated Feng Shui design into its formal curriculum, sparking widespread attention.
The School of Architecture at Tsinghua University recently announced that it will offer an elective course titled "Traditional Chinese Living Environment and Feng Shui Design" in the 2026 fall semester.
Offered jointly by the School of Architecture and the School of Environmental Sciences, this course introduces students to the environmental wisdom embedded in traditional Chinese living culture, cultivating modern architectural designers with deep cultural roots.
Course content includes: foundational principles of traditional Feng Shui, wisdom of ancient architectural site selection, and case studies on applying Feng Shui in modern architecture.
This move is considered a significant milestone in the integration of Feng Shui culture into higher education institutions.
